Engineer steps into the elevator, hitting the button for their floor, pulling at his collar to loosen that next button.]

Hey, thanks again for the dinner and the suit. I'll have to put it to use some other time to justify your spendin' money on all this.

I don't think some of us can recover from the scars we've gotten from this line of work, though. And some of us just ain't fit for the world at all.

They aren't. Hell, even if they didn't shoot us, we still might end up in worse places.

[He sighs quietly to himself, taking a long sip of his drink, kicking himself for ruining the conversation. He stares into his plate, brow furrowing.]

Yeah. I suppose we oughtta stop thinkin' about what might be and start thinkin' about what is, like this here dinner and the company we've got.

We still have plenty of time. Many more dinners een our future.

I suppose we do. Not many more on this trip, though.

Well my main plan ees to not wake up before zhe sun rises.

I suppose we can try that for a change. Let's both try to sleep through the night, too.

Now we are hoping for miracles.

[He grins, knowing how poorly they both sleep.]

[Engie returns the smile, finishing up his meal. Yeah, that is asking a bit much.]

[He is sadly out of milkshakes.]

Unless you are going to sit zhere and watch me eat several more bowls of ice cream, yes.

I suppose we can either see what's down the way, or head back. I know I could use another nap, but I probably shouldn't. I won't sleep tonight, otherwise.

I'd suggest makin' one, but I'd probably be tempted to add a gun to it.
