[Continuing this thread, in which Spy has convinced Engineer to spend a vacation with him. Fishing, fine dining, and some enemy bonding ensue.


Engineer steps into the elevator, hitting the button for their floor, pulling at his collar to loosen that next button.]

Hey, thanks again for the dinner and the suit. I'll have to put it to use some other time to justify your spendin' money on all this.

Maybe. He ees just as busy as you are. Always has projects zhat he cannot put off for anyzzing else.

Of course hot tubs are only as good as zhe company.

[Enjoy that view of his arms and chest as he stretches, eyes still closed as he remains oblivious to the torture he's causing over there. He has some pudge, but clearly his arms get enough of a workout -- his muscles are pretty obvious as he curls his arms behind his head to give himself a prop.]

Better watch out where you put that thing, then. I'll bet Pyro's got an entire collection of rubber ducks, and would love to play with them.

[He shifts on the bed, squeezing at the crook of his shoulder and neck. That nap in the movie theater didn't do him any favors.]

Plannin' on bringin' a date back to your base?

Hot tub or no, eet would be hard to make a base full of people of questionable sanity een zhe middle of zhe woods seem romantic.

[You know, unless said date was already familiar with such a thing.]

Maybe eef zhey were all away for some reason.

And a man of your expertise couldn't convince them to leave for a night?

I am sure I could. Eet would not be too hard to zhink of a reason for all of zhem to leave.

[Not now of course. Right now his brain is centered in places other than his skull.]

[He lets out a laugh, sitting up, still rubbing at his neck.]

Just thinkin' about what I do know about you, which is that you seem awful lonely sometimes. You were lookin' out for me just a couple of nights back, remember?

[He rolls onto his stomach, head in his hands.]

And do not get out much.

It's true that I don't get out much. It's easy to get lonely when all you've got for company is machines most of the time.

Eef you were not always playing wez you machines maybe you would not be as lonely.

[He looks Spy's way, smiling. That's a genuine one, too.]

[He rubs his neck again.]

Speakin' of helping, you wouldn't happen to know how to work out a knot in someone's neck, would ya?

[He waggles his fingers.]

[Especially when one of them involves being behind Engineer. ]

Sit on zhe edge of zhe bed.

[He scoots to the edge of the bed, rotating his neck a couple of times.]

Guess I should've tried to sleep last night. That nap in the theater is catchin' up to me.

[ He gets comfy behind Engineer, sitting with his legs on either side of him, barely touching Engie's. He gets to work massaging his neck and shoulders, that lecherous grin still in place. ]

You needed zhat nap. Tomorrow we will be back home and not get as much nap time, best to fit it in now.

[Engineer rolls his shoulders against Spy's hands, trying to help get some of the tension out. He sure does have a knot in his neck.]

I might catch one before the rest of the boys get home. That's assuming Pyro and Demo ain't back by the time I get there.

Ees your room sound proof and bomb proof?

[He kneads against Engineer's neck trying to work the tension out.]

I feel like zhat ees somezzing zhey overlooked when building zhe bases.

I've been at a base with rooms tough enough to take a blast or two, but this one ain't —

[He interrupts his explanation as Spy works his muscles, uttering a "right there" under his breath.]

— ain't built for that sort of thing. Maybe they didn't start off with a Demoman.

[Spy closes his eyes and curses under his breath before continuing. He needs quite a few cold showers after this.]

Perhaps.

We could use wez some rebuilding zhen. I for one would like to sleep wezzout having bits of ceiling falling down when Soldier shoots off a rocket een his room.

[In good news, the shower is only a few feet away, and Engie has already been in there. He was naked in there, Spy. Nude. Completely in the buff.]

You could get yourself a camper, like Sniper.

And live een a van? I zhink not.

[ He will be considering all those facts when he's in there later, never you fear.]

A better and easier option would be to make Soldier live een a bunker somewhere off base.

It would, but picture this: you get one of those travel trailers and put it out somewhere. You know, away from the base, but close enough to drive to. Decorate it how you want, have yourself some privacy. And if they do move you somewhere else, you just attach it to that fancy car of yours and drive it away.
